About The Position

The Pantry Assistant will communicate any assistance needed during busy periods to the Chef to ensure optimum services. This role involves notifying the manager if a product does not meet specifications, checking and ensuring the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food, and monitoring the quantity of food prepared and the portions served. The Pantry Assistant will also ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish to be served, and serve food in proper portions onto the proper receptacle. Responsibilities include setting up, cleaning, and breaking down the work station, as well as washing and disinfecting the kitchen area including tables, tools, knives, and equipment. Additionally, the role involves preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing, and washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables. The Pantry Assistant will also prepare and cook food. The position requires adherence to all company and safety and security policies and procedures, reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager, and completing safety training and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, protecting company assets, and maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information are also key aspects of this role. The Pantry Assistant will welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, speak with others using clear and professional language, and develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, supporting the team to reach common goals. Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards is crucial. The role involves standing, sitting, or walking for an extended period of time, reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. It also requires moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Other reasonable job duties may be requested by Supervisors.
