About The Position

The Sea Pro Boats Warranty Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and resolving warranty-related issues on Sea Pro boats while maintaining the quality standards expected of the Sea Pro brand. This position requires a well-rounded marine technician who understands boat construction, electrical systems, plumbing, mechanical systems, rigging, fiberglass and gelcoat repair, and marine accessories. The Warranty Technician will work closely with the Warranty & Customer Service Manager, Engineering, Production, Quality Control, Sea Pro dealers, vendors, and customers when necessary to identify problems, determine root causes, complete repairs, and help prevent recurring warranty issues. This position may include repairs performed at the Sea Pro plant as well as travel to dealerships, customer locations, boat shows, and other locations when field service is required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Maintain a valid driver's license
  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in marine, automotive, or related industries preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot minor assembly issues.
  • Knowledge of boating components or marine systems a plus.
  • Professional attitude and demeanor when dealing with customers and dealers.
  • Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
  • Properly document customer or dealer's complaint, record findings, photograph defects when appropriate.
  • Properly document and record repairs, labor and parts used.
  • Properly record final testing and verification.
  • Team-oriented mindset with detailed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Safety-conscious with knowledge of workplace safety standards.
