About The Position

As a Warranty Manager - NA on our team, you’ll lead the regional WQE team and act as the quality customer liaison during warranty analysis process flow escalations. The Warranty Manager assures timely response to customer field claims, structured problem solving, and systemic improvements to avoid recurrence. Requirements

  • Bachelor in EE or ME
  • 10+ years of work experience in automotive industry (product, quality engineering)
  • 3+ years of work experience in managerial roles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working/interacting with OEMs (FORD, GM, STLA)
  • Demonstrable capability to manage complex quality crises
  • Leadership and high-performance team development
  • Strong problem solving capabilities
  • Good stress-tolerant and conflict-management personality
  • Weibull analysis experience

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
  • System Reliability Modeling and Prediction
  • Certified IATF auditor
  • Understanding of PCB electronics design and assembly
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, E1NS, Databases

Responsibilities

  • Lead all NA warranty activities for products from NA PML’s
  • Warranty cost forecast, supervise – COPQ
  • Negotiate warranty costs with customers
  • QS action item tracking and implementation
  • Reduce warranty claims across products/customers
  • Resource allocation based on workload
  • Prepare and lead Yearly technical factor negotiations
  • Initiate SWAT process in case is required
  • Lead investigation and implement Root cause for warranty returns
  • Ensure attendance on Quality System audit in terms of Warranty related item
  • Close follow-up of action and closure
  • EDEC program follow-up
  • Participate in Warranty QTT global activities.
  • Synchronize with Warranty QTT global team on systematic improvement on the Warranty processes.
  • Communicate all of the team’s activities with your Competency Manager and other disciplines (Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, PC&L, etc.) as required.
  • Review documentation (procedures, reference documents, work instructions, etc.)
  • Lead standardization on warranty procedures within IS segment.
  • Manage and recommend trainings for standard report updates.
  • Share audit results
  • External and Internal Audit Reports and Corrective Actions to any nonconformances to be shared with the team
  • Keep up-to-date on Quality Systems information: Customer Specific Requirements (VDA field failure analysis, GS 95004,…)Core Tools (Weibull, mini tab, gate charts,..)
  • Drive warranty and EDEC standards in America.
  • Assure work balance and development for WQE team
  • Customer point of escalation for complex warranty claims.
