About The Position

Colton RV & Marine is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Warranty Administrator to join their team at the Lake Avenue Service Center. This role is crucial for the success of the service operation, focusing on accurate and timely processing, submission, and follow-up of manufacturer and aftermarket warranty claims. The administrator will collaborate with the service team, manufacturers, and warranty providers to resolve issues, maintain documentation, and maximize warranty recovery. This position directly influences dealership profitability, cash flow, and customer experience. Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Proficient MS Office knowledge; computer software and internet proficiency.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational/sequencing skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills to resolve issues professionally and tactfully over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to accept additional tasks, duties, and/or direction from management.
  • Requires some bending, climbing, and kneeling to take photographs of various areas on an RV.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous warranty administrator experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, submit, and follow up on warranty claims.
  • Assist with body shop warranty claims and follow up on outstanding claims.
  • Reconcile all warranty receivables and work with the accounting department to obtain payments.
  • Follow up on all warranty receivables to ensure payment promptly, contacting customers as needed to schedule appointments for special order parts.
  • Keep track of all warranty parts by noting the repair order number, date of replacement, and date on which part may be disposed.
  • Maintain all service and customer records as required by the warrantor.
  • Check in new units from factory, noting defects and creating work orders.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards.
  • Obtain any needed warranty or customer authorization before working on a unit, including taking pictures, faxing in for authorization, or any / all procedures as prescribed in the manufacturer’s warranty policy & procedure manuals.
  • Keep current with all factory recalls & announcements.
  • Work alongside shop foremen, warranty clerk, lead technicians, and service advisors to enhance customers' service experience.
