About The Position

Responsible for preparing records, reconciling warranty claims, and submitting warranty claims to the factory and distributors in accordance with Company guidelines. This role also involves assisting the Recon Manager with reconditioning workflow and other dealer service work as needed. The position requires maintaining CSI at or above Company standards, keeping an organized and safe work area, and accurately recording all hours worked. Adherence to Safeguards rules, company core values, policies, and procedures, as well as all Federal, State, Local, and Company safety rules and regulations is expected.

Requirements

Previous office, accounting, or administrative experience.
Some knowledge of automotive parts and warranty claim processing is beneficial.
Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office products.
Ability to learn the Parts system and software systems utilized to file warranty claims.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, company personnel, and factory and distribution representatives.
The position requires regular and predictable attendance.
Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
Regularly required to talk or hear.
Frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations.

Responsibilities

Processes warranty claims in accordance with Manufacturer Guidelines.
Verifies criteria required by factory or distributor.
Posts credits received for payment of warranty claims.
Prepares CSI documents.
Assist Recon Manager with reconditioning workflow.
Assist with Dealer service work as needed.
Maintains warranty parts for scrapping or refund in accordance with Manufacturer Guidelines.
Follows up with the factory and distributors regarding unpaid claims.
Files warranty documentation and maintains records as necessary.
Maintains CSI at or above Company standards
Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
Participates in required training
Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values
Complies with Company policies and procedures
Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
