About The Position

Experienced wargamers and problem solvers are needed to support Navy undersea system projects. Candidates will support existing and future customer needs for concept development, requirements analysis, design, test and evaluation. Candidates must be able to leverage their experience to quickly come up to speed and help projects with creative thinking, event design, problem solving, decision-making skills, and event facilitation. Sonalysts, Inc. is a small, 100% employee owned business (ESOP) which supports a very diverse set of customers. While the company was originally founded in 1973 with a focus on sonar analysis (hence the name) for the Navy, Sonalysts has since expanded into a variety of other Defense and Commercial spaces. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working on professional wargaming or facilitated event design teams
  • Either: Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years experience working on professional wargaming or facilitated event design teams
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible for a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Possessing an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance
  • Demonstrated experience in either Wargame design and development
  • Wargame results analysis
  • Master's Degree
  • Engineering experience
  • Experience as a submarine officer (OOD) or chief petty officer (DOOW/COB) on an operational SSN/SSGN/SSBN
  • Experience in applying advanced analytical techniques to solve complex problems
  • Interest in Project Management and Business Development

Responsibilities

  • Participate on a team designing and executing facilitated workshops to compare and contrast technical capabilities for future system designs
  • Develop concepts of operations and concepts of employment for future systems
  • Use analytical and problem-solving skills to help inform government program decisions
  • Support industry and/or government teams in the transition of concepts to prototypes to fleet release
  • Design and execute innovation events to develop tactical guidance for future warfighting capabilities
  • Leverage previous operational experience to support government engineering teams in the development of new technologies
