About The Position

The candidate is frequently exposed to noise, dust and various chemicals, and moving parts requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and steel toe shoes. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work will be determined by shift. Weekend and overtime may be required as job duties demand. This position requires little to no travel.

Must be able to operate a forklift.
Certification to operate the forklift is required.

Responsibilities

Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations including machines, docks, and storage areas.
Loads and unloads trucks.
Inspects forklift daily and records on Daily Inspection Checklist form.
Obtains loom warp out schedule from Weaving Supervisor and identifies, verifies, and transports warps for weave line preparation.
Places full warp beams in warehouse storage.
Pulls full warp beams for Style Change personnel.
Counts material (pcs.) against Bills of Lading to ensure accuracy.
Checks for damages or shortages of goods.
Reports any problems with materials or transportation to supervisor.
Transports oils and chemicals to appropriate area and moves empty drums out for disposal.
Assists with monthly inventory.
Creates yarn tags through JOMAR System.
Assists with weekly cycle count audits.
Blows lint and dust from warp storage racks and designated storage areas to support housekeeping and equipment cleanliness.
Performs other duties assigned by management.
