About The Position

This position operates in a manufacturing environment and is responsible for identifying and transporting requested materials to and from various locations, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining equipment. The role involves handling materials, chemicals, and performing inventory tasks while adhering to safety protocols. The candidate will be exposed to noise, dust, chemicals, and moving parts, requiring the use of personal protective equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency Certificate preferred.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
  • Certification to operate the forklift is required.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations including machines, docks, and storage areas.
  • Loads and unloads trucks.
  • Inspects forklift daily and records on Daily Inspection Checklist form.
  • Obtains loom warp out schedule from Weaving Supervisor and identifies, verifies, and transports warps for weave line preparation.
  • Places full warp beams in warehouse storage.
  • Pulls full warp beams for Style Change personnel.
  • Counts material (pcs.) against Bills of Lading to ensure accuracy.
  • Checks for damages or shortages of goods.
  • Reports any problems with materials or transportation to supervisor.
  • Transports oils and chemicals to appropriate area and moves empty drums out for disposal.
  • Assists with monthly inventory.
  • Creates yarn tags through JOMAR System.
  • Assists with weekly cycle count audits.
  • Blows lint and dust from warp storage racks and designated storage areas to support housekeeping and equipment cleanliness.
  • Performs other duties assigned by management.
  • Follows all safety rules to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you.
