About The Position

Responsible for all segments of the physical functions of materials control; including internal transportation, receiving, storage, retrieval, and inventory control across two locations. Duties include the accuracy of inventory records, management of the warehouse facility, personnel management, and a broad range of administrative responsibilities. The job holder interacts closely with the Operations, Procurement, and Transportation groups.

Requirements

7-10 years of warehouse management experience.
7-10 years experience working receiving and logistics
A proven track record of managing people, providing exceptional customer service, and implementing cost savings and efficiencies improvements
Experience managing a Warehouse Management System
Ability to hire, lead, motivate and mentor personnel
Strong written and verbal communications
Knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety rules required

Bi lingual (English/Spanish) a major plus

Responsibilities

Ensures continuous process improvement & high quality services towards internal customers through the development and deployment of processes and procedures
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
Controls costs through productivity of personnel.
Promotes inventory accuracy by implementing and monitoring a cycle count program; reconciling with data storage system
Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
Recommends Warehouse and material handling equipment needs and replacement
Manages the Kan Ban replenishment process from the warehouse to the assembly plant, and from certain vendors to the warehouse
Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping regulations; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
Ensures Super Market is well stocked and not out of parts. Feeds the assembly lines continuously based on the day’s production schedule.
Coordinates with the Warehouse Supervisor to request restocking of parts for Super Market. Also, works with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure parts are available for the following day.
Notifies buyers when product replenishment is required (low inventory). Also, provides feedback on product quality and packaging.
