About The Position

Penske Logistics is seeking warehouse associates to join its team. This safety-sensitive role involves staging, sorting, loading, unloading, scanning, and moving freight and parts within a warehouse, while maintaining a clean and safe work area. Associates may operate electric pallet jacks as needed. The position requires working at the specified location and schedule, with full attendance and a constant state of alertness. Work may take place in non-climate-controlled conditions.

Available schedules are Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. (1st shift); Monday–Friday, 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. (2nd shift); or Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. (3rd shift). Weekends and overtime may be required. The base rate is $21.22 per hour, with a $0.20-per-hour differential for 2nd shift and a $0.25-per-hour differential for 3rd shift.

Requirements

• Proficient reading skills and the ability to follow directions.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate customer service, interpersonal, multitasking, organizational, flexibility, numerical, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance.
• Willingness to work the required schedule at the specified location.
• Complete a Penske employment application and pass a background investigation, including past employment, education, and criminal history checks, and drug screening.
• Ability to remain alert and work safely, accepting responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others.
• Ability to remember and understand instructions, guidelines, and other information.
• Ability to see and verbally communicate.
• Ability to move frequently, stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety requirements and work in a safe manner.
• Stage and sort products for loading.
• Load and unload trailers safely.
• Open and close dock doors.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Sort and place parts in racks or other designated areas.
• Stack cardboard boxes and pallets.
• Move materials within the warehouse.
• Operate electric pallet jacks as needed.
• Scan freight and parts.
