About The Position

Turner Industries is seeking a Warehouse Worker in Kingsport, Tennessee. The position receives, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products. The primary work takes place in laydown yards and involves mostly pulling and storing pipe and steel. This is a non-exempt role reporting to the Foreman. Duties are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of operating a fork truck.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Complete a post-offer drug screen and sign acceptance of the Turner Industries Group, LLC Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy.
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

SAP experience.
Forklift certification may be required at some sites.

Responsibilities

Store, remove, load, and unload materials from storage bins, pallets, and vehicles, including items that cannot be handled by material-handling devices.
Operate manual or mechanical devices and stock inventory shelves.
Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to identify items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, or color.
Move materials and supplies from the warehouse and prepare them for delivery.
Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or stock items.
Record materials received or distributed and, as needed, maintain inventory records.
Perform routine housekeeping to maintain the work area.
Operate a fork truck and access SAP transactions.
Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Comply with company and client job-site safety requirements.
