About The Position

Safety-Kleen in La Porte, Texas, is seeking a Warehouse Worker, known internally as a Material Handler, to complete assigned warehouse duties safely and responsibly. This is a second-shift position working from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Duties include handling route trucks and warehouse materials, preparing waste loads for shipment, housekeeping, and assisting with inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity.
• Ability to perform the physical functions required for the job.
• Good communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with waste labels, manifests, and load sheets.
• At least 6 months of forklift experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safe work practices and policies, and act safely at all times.
• Unload and reload route trucks.
• Stock the warehouse with materials after Distribution Center truck arrivals.
• Prepare waste loads for shipment to the Recycle Center or Distribution Center.
• Perform general housekeeping.
• Assist with inventory.
