About The Position

Norco is seeking a Production Technician for its production plant. The role is responsible for safely loading and unloading cylinders and freight from trucks, filling cylinders with compressed and liquefied gases, and following established procedures and regulations. The technician also moves freight and cylinders to appropriate storage areas, determines weights for truck orders, ensures loads stay within applicable weight limits, handles materials to prevent damage, maintains accurate records, and performs other assigned or necessary tasks. Starting pay is $20 per hour.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to keep neat and accurate records.
• Ability to accurately enter data into a computer and acquire working knowledge of applicable software applications.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Nice To Haves

• Previous knowledge of cylinders and gases.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and move freight, returned goods, and cylinders to proper holding and storage areas.
• Determine weights of cylinders and freight on orders to be loaded on each truck or trailer.
• Load trucks and trailers without exceeding applicable weight limits.
• Load, unload, and handle materials to prevent damage during handling or transport.
• Fill industrial- and medical-grade gases into cylinders according to established procedures.
• Keep neat and accurate records as necessary.
• Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary.
