About The Position

Norco is seeking a Production Technician for its production plant. The role is responsible for loading and unloading cylinders and freight from trucks, filling cylinders with compressed and liquefied gases safely, and following established procedures and regulations. The position also involves moving goods and cylinders to appropriate storage areas, determining load weights, ensuring trucks and trailers remain within applicable weight limits, handling materials to prevent damage, and maintaining accurate records. The starting rate is $20 per hour.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Attention to detail and ability to keep neat and accurate records.
Ability to accurately enter data into a computer and acquire working knowledge of applicable software.
Good problem-solving skills.
Mechanical aptitude.

Previous knowledge of cylinders and gases.

Responsibilities

Unload trucks and move freight, returned goods, and cylinders to proper holding and storage areas.
Determine the weights of cylinders and freight orders to be loaded on each truck or trailer.
Load trucks and trailers without exceeding applicable weight limits.
Load, unload, and handle materials to prevent damage during handling and transport.
Fill industrial and medical-grade gases into cylinders according to established procedures.
Keep neat and accurate records as necessary.
Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary.
