About The Position

Delgado Community College is hiring a detail-oriented Warehouse Technician to support the Property Control department’s Shipping and Receiving processes. The role performs basic warehouse operations, including handling inventory, receiving and delivering items, clerical and custodial tasks, and operating light mobile equipment. The position may be filled as a probationary appointment requiring 12–24 months on probation. Applicants are subject to employment eligibility verification through E-Verify, a background investigation, and previous employment verification. No Civil Service test score is required. Requirements

• No experience or training is required.
• Ability to frequently lift more than 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic support tasks in the Shipping and Receiving warehouse, including inventory handling, clerical and custodial work, and light mobile equipment operation.
• Use tracking software to receive packages and unload incoming stock and equipment.
• Assist with tagging new assets according to established property control procedures.
• Deliver items and copy paper across campus as needed.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness by sweeping, wiping surfaces, and taking out trash.
• Become familiar with warehouse safety procedures.
• Frequently operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and a fleet vehicle.
