About The Position

SSR Mining is looking for a Warehouse Technician II to support their on-site warehouse located in Cripple Creek, Colorado. This role involves receiving, inspecting, and recording materials and supplies, responding to emergency requirements, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. The position requires a high school diploma, 1-2 years of warehouse experience (preferably in a mining or industrial environment), good technical aptitude, and strong organizational skills. The role is based at the Cripple Creek & Victor Mine site, which is at a high elevation, requiring physical capability to work at altitude. The hourly rate for this role is $29.61/hr.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • 1 to 2 years warehouse experience, preferably in a mining or industrial environment
  • Good technical aptitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong ability to plan, organize work and understand established policy and procedure for the work area
  • Ability and willingness to learn the required skills for the position
  • Willing to work rotating shifts and perform overtime work as required
  • Proven excellent safety and attendance record
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the receiving procedures and posting receipts in SAP.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 to 3 years’ experience would be an asset.
  • A working knowledge of SAP is recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Receive materials and supplies by common carrier, express delivery service, United Parcel Service (UPS) and company trucks including filling out appropriate paperwork and inspecting materials
  • Record and compare quantity of material received with vendor documentation indicating discrepancies such as overages, shortages and damages in accordance with policy and procedure
  • Respond immediately to 'emergency' requirements and equipment breakdowns to support operational requirements
  • Read, comprehend, interpret and learn Material Safety Data Sheets, labels on products, warning signs, and instructional manuals to prevent loss of personnel, property and process
  • Complete discrepancy reports and perform computer system data entry from receiving documentation in accordance with established policy and procedure
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with the warehouse procedures and MSHA standards.
