About The Position

Moore Supply Company, a trade name of Hajoca Corporation, is seeking a Warehouse Teammate/Small Truck Driver for their Beaumont, TX location. This role involves a combination of warehouse duties and local delivery driving. The ideal candidate is customer-service oriented, safety-conscious, and possesses strong attention to detail. Hajoca Corporation is a large, privately-held wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies, operating in a decentralized environment where each location functions as a Profit Center (PC).

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old
Possess a proper and valid driver’s license
Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy.
1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
Know the laws, rules and regulations governing driving motor vehicles
Know of, be able to apply, and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors and co-workers.
Be able to remain calm and function effectively in stressful, unexpected, and/or emergency situations.
Be able to learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment.
Be able to learn and operate the computer related systems used in the delivery process.
Read, write, speak and understand English.
Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

Counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
Stocking and maintaining the warehouse.
Picking, documenting, and packing customer orders.
Handling shipping discrepancies and forwarding appropriate paperwork.
Identifying nonstock, special-order, and damaged material and storing them in proper locations.
Completing necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier.
Loading and unloading trucks, and operating warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
Informing immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise.
Ensuring security and controls are in place to protect Profit Center assets.
Maintaining warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety, including removing debris.
Assisting co-workers in servicing customers.
Performing all job functions in accordance with the company’s Safety Standards.
Successfully completing required safety and compliance training programs.
Operating trucks safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations for deliveries to various locations.
Loading trucks with merchandise for delivery, securing the load properly, and ensuring necessary unloading equipment is available.
Understanding shipping documents and having accurate directions to delivery destinations.
Reviewing shipping documentation and ensuring order accuracy.
Unloading correct merchandise from the truck and placing it as directed by the receiving party.
Obtaining legible signatures for all merchandise delivered.
Collecting and securing outstanding payments for cash sale deliveries.
Working with customers at the delivery site to resolve shipping discrepancies.
Loading trucks at other locations with merchandise from vendors, returns, or other wholesalers.
Providing sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses.
Inspecting the truck and required parts and accessories prior to departure.
Keeping the truck clean.
Advising management of any mechanical problems with the truck.
Removing truck keys at the end of the workday and storing them in the approved location.
