About The Position

Under close supervision, the employee performs a full range of assignments using higher level Management guidance to assure that all products leave the plant in compliance with consumer expectations. No product shall be shipped or loaded into any trailer without verification of documents (PO#), and inspection of the carrier’s trailers. This position will support the Shipping Department by loading Finished Product accordingly to ensure that the right orders are shipped on time and in an orderly manner following proper procedures in place.

Requirements

  • Must be responsible and fast learner.
  • Knowledgeable in mathematics.
  • Must have good organization skills.
  • High School (able to read write).
  • Minimum 3 months to 2 years’ experience in the field (Food Industry is a plus).
  • Forklift certification & ability to operate the following equipment: Reach; Standup and pallet jack.
  • Warehouse management system.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably, be knowledgeable in mathematics and English and Spanish language.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the appropriate requirements in the use of code dates and product rotation.
  • Pull and organize product based on load sheet requirements using FIFO method.
  • Verify the case quantity required by the order against what is been pulled from racks.
  • Write and complete all the information required by the shipping department procedures.
  • Ensure that all products (pallets) are sufficiently shrink-wrapped to insure stability during storage and transit to end destination after arrival.
  • Ensure that all pallets have a Del Real Foods placard properly filled out denoting Customer, PO #, Pallet Quantity of specific PO, and the specific pallet pieces count before moving it to the staging area.
  • Perform trailer inspections before loading or unloading product.
  • Follow all company’s safety procedures.
  • Perform all activities relating to product management (Counting, identifying and staging product on designated areas).
  • Work with good manufacture practices.
  • Ensure that all product-handling procedures are followed.
  • Maintain hygiene; follow GMP’s; SQF and USDA guidelines.
  • Verify that equipment is in good working condition.
  • Unload & Load truck as required.
