Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in general warehousing, manufacturing or distribution
- Min 2 years of experience as Fork Lift Operator preferred
- Certified Fork Lift Operator
- Computer skills
- Lead skills
- Safety awareness and quality consciousness
Responsibilities
- Following shipment procedures: Ensures all shipment procedures are followed in accordance to customer requirements. Ensures all Forklift Operators are trained in procedures and follow them.
- Delegation and Coordination: Ensures all Fork Lift Operators know their work responsibilities. Proper Training of new hires in Areas of inventory knowledge, Inventory locations, Dock and Fork Lift/Clamp Truck Operations, Safety Protocols and golden rules, Warehouse policies and procedures.
- Communication between other Warehouse Team Leads: Provides written and verbal communication to other team leads to provide coordinated efforts for highest department efficiency.
- Preparing finished product to ship to customer: Adheres to performance standards in quality and quantity (Checking for damages as well as count). Prints Bills of Lading.
- Ensures good housekeeping within the warehouse.
- Ensures 5s in all warehouse areas.
- Ensures staffing availability and escalates to warehouse supervisor.
- Others as needed and described in standard work.
