About The Position

The Team Lead at S&S Activewear provides guidance and direct feedback to team members working on assigned tasks, ensures proper processes are followed, and promptly addresses errors. The role assists with training new and current employees and maintaining the Distribution Center. The Team Lead collaborates with leadership on process improvements and supports operations throughout the Distribution Center. This is a full-time, non-exempt position paying $18.50 per hour, scheduled Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Employees must be flexible if start or departure times change and able to work overtime when needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and machinery.
• Comfort using electronic devices.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Basic math skills, including counting, adding, and subtracting quickly and accurately.
• Ability to identify colors, sizes, quantities, labels, and SKU information.
• Flexibility when start and departure times change.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision.
• Ability to stand and walk during an 8-plus-hour shift.
• Ability to perform frequent grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling items with hands and arms, up to 50 pounds.
• Moderate hand-eye coordination, near and far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and hearing.

Responsibilities

• Work and collaborate with the leadership team on process improvements and provide support throughout the Distribution Center.
• Monitor customer orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping to ensure company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity are met.
• Operate machinery required by assigned departments, which may include cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock chasers.
• Meet key performance indicators for safety, quality, production, and efficiency.
• Report and record discrepancies, damaged items, shortages, and unidentified packages.
• Maintain required process and procedure audits.
• Train in customer service duties as required.
• Monitor and train new hires to support productivity and quality.
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the Distribution Center.
• Follow standard operating procedures, safety rules, and regulations.
• Act professionally and remain focused on contributing to a safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned and cross-train as needed.
