About The Position

The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for ensuring all shipment procedures are followed in accordance with customer requirements. This role involves training Forklift Operators, delegating responsibilities, and ensuring proper training of new hires in areas such as inventory knowledge, inventory locations, and dock and forklift/clamp truck operations. The Team Lead also plays a key role in communicating between other Warehouse Team Leads to coordinate efforts for maximum department efficiency, preparing finished product for shipment, adhering to performance standards for quality and quantity, printing Bills of Lading, and maintaining good housekeeping and 5S in all warehouse areas. Additionally, the role involves ensuring staffing availability and escalating issues to the warehouse supervisor, as well as performing other duties as described in standard work.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in general warehousing, manufacturing or distribution
• Min 2 years of experience as Fork Lift Operator preferred
• Certified Fork Lift Operator
• Computer skills
• Lead skills
• Safety awareness and quality consciousness

Nice To Haves

• Min 2 years of experience as Fork Lift Operator preferred
• Certified Fork Lift Operator

Responsibilities

• Ensures all shipment procedures are followed in accordance to customer requirements
• Ensures all Forklift Operators are trained in procedures and follow them
• Ensures all Fork Lift Operators know their work responsibilities
• Proper Training of new hires in Areas of inventory knowledge, Inventory locations, Dock and Fork Lift/Clamp Truck Operations, Safety, Warehouse policies and procedures
• Communication between other Warehouse Team Leads to provide coordinated efforts for highest department efficiency
• Preparing finished product to ship to customer
• Adheres to performance standards in quality and quantity (Checking for damages as well as count)
• Prints Bills of Lading
• Ensures good housekeeping within the warehouse
• Ensures 5s in all warehouse areas
• Ensures staffing availability and escalates to warehouse supervisor
• Others as needed described in standard work
