About The Position

Employees in this position perform a variety of facilities and general maintenance work in the cleaning, repair and maintenance of buildings and grounds; assist in a wide variety of maintenance activities, address immediate operational and/or safety concerns; and basic janitorial, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, glazier, masonry, painting, and grounds maintenance tasks. Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using a sit down forklifts with attachments (forks, clamps, push pull), or other power equipment 80% of the specified shift Operates equipment used in skilled trades including power and hand tools, etc. and performs duties including, painting, resetting rack beams, labeling racks, moving office furniture (boxes, other items, etc.), hanging pictures, wiping down bathrooms, filling battery water, conducting glass audits, inspecting emergency exit lights, changing light fixtures, performing minor dock door repair, performing outside trash removal, collects load bars, and other tasks as assigned. Assists Distribution Safety Coordinator with Safety Inspections and repairs as required by OSHA. Applies methods, practices, and procedures in preventative maintenance, inspection, repair, renovation, cleaning and minor construction of buildings and utilities. Performs other duties as required Cleans sanitation lines Makes suggestions for improvement in processes, cost reduction and customer service Other duties as assigned
