About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing the activity of their assigned department and shift, providing daily direction to the team regarding work assignments and priorities. The Team Lead will role model Pharmavite's purpose and values to ensure the team meets safety, quality, cost, and reliability targets daily. This position requires creative thinking to solve issues, ensure critical objectives are met, and execute projects for continuous improvement. Requirements

  • A High School diploma or its equivalent is required.
  • Powered Industrial Truck Certification in the operation of sit-down forklifts and motorized pallet jacks is required.
  • Requires a minimum of three years of experience in the assigned area, preferably in a lead or coordinator role.
  • Ability to lead the delivery of required results in Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost, each shift.
  • Proficient English ability; required to read/understand written instructions, manuals, and other information; to maintain a variety of written records, and train employees in a complex process of operating procedures and manufacturing instructions.
  • Excellent oral communication skills to train, assign work, and provide guidance to staff.
  • Ability to listen to and provide verbal directions to staff. Respond to requests for help while working on other activities.
  • Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and fix equipment malfunctions.
  • Working knowledge of MRP, WMS, and radio frequency systems.
  • Knowledge of cGMP’s basic safety practices in an industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with production goals and setting performance objectives.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
  • Basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of JD Edwards MRP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and training for the team, including leading daily direction setting, tracking shift performance, communicating expectations, assigning work, troubleshooting, and taking corrective actions.
  • Promotes a culture of safety within the team, ensuring participation in the BBS/MDSE program, attendance at safety meetings, and proper use of PPE and equipment operating procedures.
  • Trains, mentors, and develops team members to create an agile, cross-trained workforce with increased knowledge of equipment, processes, and functions.
  • Assists in driving root cause problem-solving with urgency and ensures the team uses continuous improvement tools like Autonomous Maintenance, 5-S, Clean, Inspect and Lubricate (CIL), Centerlines, and Rapid Change Over (RCO).
  • Facilitates and troubleshoots technical problems to overcome routine manufacturing equipment issues and partners with maintenance for equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Ensures respective areas and departments are audit-ready by utilizing departmental GMP audit scores for improvement.
  • Is trained and capable of filling in for a technician to cover breaks, lunches, or absenteeism.
  • Partners with internal and external customers to receive and distribute materials & supplies.
  • Creates, edits, and maintains records following Good Documentation Practices, GMPs, and SOPs.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the warehouse in compliance with department GMPs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
