Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, some college with equivalent work experience, 2 year degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of warehouse, manufacturing or production experience
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Must have and maintain forklift certification
  • Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control
  • Must successfully pass a background check every third year on your anniversary date
  • Solid knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office software

Responsibilities

  • Conduct rigorous recruitment and interview processes for new team members
  • Maintain consistent and thorough communication with the Warehouse Manager regarding potential operational challenges
  • Actively participate in mandatory annual Leadership & Development training sessions
  • Strategically allocate job tasks in accordance with shipping schedules to optimize efficiency
  • Orchestrate team member tasks and responsibilities to ensure precise receiving, storage, and loading of food products and support goods, adhering strictly to established company standards and procedures while operating within budgetary constraints and controlling costs
  • Implement and enforce a safe work environment in full compliance with OSHA regulations, company standards, and all applicable local, state, and federal requirements
  • Provide comprehensive training and oversight on the utilization of handheld scanners for all warehouse functions, including picking, sorting, packing, receiving, and stocking
  • Cultivate and sustain professional customer relationships to uphold company reputation
  • Assist in the meticulous compilation of daily key performance indicators
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required documentation
  • Implement and maintain stringent inventory control measures through effective warehouse methodologies
  • Collaborate with the Manager to conduct thorough quarterly counts and/or annual physical inventories utilizing solo chain system reports inventory software to guarantee inventory accuracy
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of load sheets and verify the accuracy of assembled loads with utmost precision
  • Provide necessary assistance to drivers during pre-departure load checks to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Formulate and present well-researched recommendations to the Manager regarding operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, material handling and disposition, and maintenance of current warehouse inventory
  • Support the Manager in maintaining constant audit and 5S readiness to ensure operational excellence
  • Conduct regular, systematic Gemba walks to identify areas for improvement and maintain operational standards
  • Execute additional duties as assigned by the Manager and/or Director with diligence and professionalism
