The Warehouse Supervisor directly oversees daily shift operations, including selection, shipping, receiving, cross-docking, interleaving, and trailer loading. This role involves reviewing orders and notices to determine work sequences, conferring with various personnel to exchange information and resolve problems, and supervising the daily activity of warehouse and dispatch Team Members. The supervisor is responsible for assigning work, monitoring productivity to ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, housekeeping, product damage minimization, safety, and overall efficiency. They also plan assignments and coordinate operations to ensure on-time deliveries, reduce irregularities and damage, and promote safety by educating Team Members and ensuring a safe work environment. This includes enforcing safety rules, communicating policies and SOPs, and conducting start-up shift meetings. The role also focuses on maintaining a clean and orderly facility, minimizing product damage, and fostering high Team Member morale through training, coaching, feedback, and regular evaluations. Resolving Team Member relations issues, investigating operational errors, and assisting with disciplinary actions are also key responsibilities. The supervisor will create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs, confer with management on inventory accuracy and quality control, and coordinate shift handoff activities. They are responsible for reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of timesheets, informing senior management of operating issues, preparing reports, and potentially driving vehicles or operating machinery. Reliable attendance and adherence to safety and security standards are essential.
