About The Position

Abacus Staffing is seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Lead to supervise, coordinate, and execute warehouse operations to ensure a safe, efficient, and high-performing environment. This full-time position reports directly to the Facility Manager and plays a key role in delivering accurate and timely service to our customers. Weekend and overtime flexibility may be required as business demands.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse systems including WMS and RF scanners.
  • Experience operating LP and electric lift trucks (roll clamp, carton clamp, forks).
  • Availability for non-standard hours and ability to respond to operational needs.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience in warehouse operations.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold warehouse environments.
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to operate a forklift for extended periods.
  • Required to wear company-provided PPE at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and compliant warehouse environment by enforcing safety policies, reviewing procedures, and ensuring proper layout and security standards.
  • Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound shipments, order fulfillment, and inventory control while addressing discrepancies.
  • Support hiring and onboarding efforts to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
  • Plan and communicate daily shift objectives; monitor KPIs and productivity metrics.
  • Collaborate with leadership to forecast labor needs and manage costs effectively.
  • Coach, train, and develop warehouse associates to drive performance and accountability.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Assist with customer physical inventories, site visits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop a working knowledge of all customer operations and step in as needed to support workflow.
  • Operate lift equipment and assist on the floor when required.
