About The Position

Hexcel is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for its Salt Lake City, UT, USA, Fibers location. This role is responsible for directly managing the spare parts inventory of the Fibers site. The position involves understanding and adhering to company policies, resolving team concerns, and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams regarding inventory, equipment status, audits, expectations, and safety procedures. The supervisor will also conduct audits and cycle counts, manage rebuilds and reworks, operate power equipment, and utilize the inventory management system.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint; ability to learn and utilize inventory management systems.
Strong problem solving, analytical, and basic math skills.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Strong commitment to safety.
Basic understanding of tools, parts, maintenance terminology.
Eligible candidates must be a: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

Strong understanding of industrial maintenance is a plus.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and other Continuous Improvement techniques; Lean and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.
Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Directly manage the spare parts inventory of the Fibers site.
Understand and adhere to company policies and hold employees accountable for any violations.
Work to address concerns and resolve problems within and across teams.
Effectively communicate with cross functional teams on updates to inventory, equipment status, audits, expectations, and safety procedures.
Conduct ongoing audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy of inventory.
Meet production, safety, and quality goals and hold your teams accountable to specified metrics.
Prepare parts and tools into kits for maintenance workers in advance of need.
Support safety programs by performing job hazard analysis, participating in monthly safety meetings and pre-shift safety meetings, and assisting with accident investigations.
Manage rebuilds and reworks with rotating assets (i.e. motors, rolls, pumps, gearboxes, etc.)
Operate power equipment to move palletized freight safely throughout the warehouse.
Utilize inventory management system to manage min/max quantities based on part usage and lead times, add new items to the system, modify existing entries, etc.
