About The Position

This role is responsible for leading daily warehouse operations and activities. This includes managing the receipt, documentation, storage, safety, and distribution of equipment and supplies, as well as maintaining physical inventory and inventory records. The position also involves training, leading, and evaluating warehouse employees, assigning workloads, and overseeing order processing and shipments. A key aspect of this role is monitoring the ERP system, ensuring data accuracy, and adhering to health and safety regulations to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment. The Warehouse Supervisor will also oversee warehouse standards and procedures, advise on budget-related needs, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
  • 3 years warehouse or related experience
  • Proficiency with ERP software functionality
  • Communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization both written and audibly to convey necessary information.
  • Warehousing and stock control methods and procedures.
  • Methods of receiving, inspecting and issuing materials.
  • Operation of forklift and other assigned vehicles and equipment following safety protocols.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, procedures, equipment and terminology as well as space utilization and inventory techniques.
  • Understanding proper methods of storing equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Knowledge of inventory methods and practices with record-keeping techniques.
  • Interpersonal skills while training and providing work direction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of equipment and supplies with maintenance of physical inventory and inventory records.
  • Train, lead and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees; assign workloads to warehouse workers.
  • Route, schedule, pack and prepare orders for delivery; load vehicles; oversee setting up common carriers for shipments delivered and picked-up.
  • Lead the processing of requisitions and requests for materials and maintain accurate inventories for each material or product.
  • Control shipping activities, including reviewing backlog for ship from stock orders, preparing make to order inventory for shipment, and preparing shipments for sub-contract operations to outside vendors.
  • Oversee incoming receiving activities.
  • Issue and shear raw material to production as required by work orders.
  • Monitor the ERP system. Enter data into the computer, correct errors and control key screens as required.
  • Observe health and safety regulations; maintain the warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
  • Oversee warehouse standards and procedures; advise of any budget- related needs.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
