About The Position
Johnson Brothers of South Dakota, the state’s leading wine, spirits, and craft beer distributor, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, involving oversight of daily activities, management of warehouse staff, and implementation of efficient and safe processes. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader committed to improving productivity, accuracy in inventory management, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This position requires collaboration with Warehouse Leadership to drive operational success.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently, be self-managed and motivated to meet deadlines.
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Minimum of 5 years of warehouse operations management experience
- Previous forklift certification and experience is desired.

Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and manage warehouse employees, ensuring engagement and accountability.
- Manage onboarding and ensure completion of all training tasks.
- Support retention through positive engagement and development.
- Perform ride-alongs and work-withs to coach and support drivers.
- Ensure team members complete all required training and certifications and adhere to company policies and safety protocols.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping of products.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies and optimize slotting assignments to maintain operational efficiency.
- Track and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement corrective actions to address operational challenges and improve overall performance.
- Communicate progress and results to Warehouse Leadership and other stakeholders.
