About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of shipping, receiving, and inventory to ensure on-time shipments to customers. This role involves supervising warehouse personnel across all shifts, managing key account shipments, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of outgoing shipments. The supervisor will also oversee the timely verification, receipt, and put-away of incoming products, and collaborate with Plant Managers, Production Managers, and Quality Managers to anticipate and manage increased resource needs for upcoming shipping demands, special builds, or seasonal builds. A key responsibility is maintaining inventory accuracy through physical counts and ensuring all warehouse personnel are trained on proper forklift procedures and general warehouse safety. The role requires working knowledge of the inventory system QAD and other relevant software, as well as managing third-party warehousing shipments and tracking loads.

Requirements

  • Must have a working knowledge of the inventory system QAD and many other software programs used in shipping/receiving.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Skill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the job.
  • Skill in multitasking and time management.
  • Ability to effectively manage personnel of varying skills and disciplinary backgrounds.
  • Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departments.
  • Ability to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidential.
  • Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP’s, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense.
  • Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication.
  • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers.
  • Must be able to reach, touch, grasp.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull and push.
  • Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor.
  • Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in warehousing

Responsibilities

  • Supervising all warehouse personnel on all shifts and key account shipments from any warehouse locations.
  • Ensuring all shipments leave on time, accurately, and with complete paperwork.
  • Verifying, receiving, and putting away all incoming products in a timely fashion.
  • Working with Plant Managers, Production Manager, and Quality Manager to be aware of upcoming shipping needs, special builds, or seasonal builds that may require increased resources.
  • Managing all inventory in the warehouse and maintaining acceptable accuracy levels through physical counts.
  • Ensuring all warehouse personnel are trained on proper forklift procedures and general warehouse safety.
  • Responsible for third party warehousing shipments to the customer and tracking of the loads, if necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
