About The Position

Oakwood Veneer Company is seeking an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations at its Troy, Michigan facility. This active working-supervisor role involves leading employees, organizing workflow, solving problems, and keeping operations efficient. The supervisor oversees shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, inventory control, forklift operations, and employee productivity, and may work alongside the warehouse team as needed. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule, either 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The role offers a clean and organized warehouse and an opportunity to build a long-term career with the company.

Requirements

At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in any industry.
At least 2 years of hands-on warehouse, shipping and receiving, distribution, logistics, or material-handling experience; these requirements may be met through separate jobs.
Forklift operating experience.
Basic computer skills for inventory tracking, data entry, and reporting.
Dependable and organized, comfortable making decisions, and able to manage competing priorities while keeping employees and daily operations on track.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

Assign daily work, direct and train employees, monitor performance, and address operational issues.
Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, picking, packing, loading and unloading, and material handling.
Maintain inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies.

Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and productive.
