About The Position

The Warehouse and Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and compliance with company standards. This role leads and develops employees, supports production and inventory workflows, and maintains a safe, organized work environment in alignment with OHSA regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, or warehousing
  • at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and equipment management.
  • Experience with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations and workplace safety enforcement.
  • Proficiency in computer applications for record-keeping, reporting, and inventory tracking.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • post-secondary education in logistics or manufacturing is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all warehouse and production activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily warehouse functions, including receiving, storing, distributing, and maintaining inventory.
  • Monitor production schedules, adjusting workflows based on inventory levels and operational demands.
  • Ensure all warehouse processes align with company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports related to inventory, shipments, and overall warehouse performance.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop employees to achieve operational goals and production targets.
  • Clearly communicate job expectations, monitor performance, and provide coaching and disciplinary action as needed.
  • Conduct training sessions on job procedures, equipment operation, safety protocols, and best manufacturing practices.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and operation of warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
  • Conduct regular inspections and schedule routine maintenance to prevent equipment failures.
  • Assist management in setting warehouse standards and procedures, including budgeting for equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate shifts and resource staffing to meet production demands, ensuring overtime availability as required.
  • Track employee attendance, vacation requests, and overall workforce management.
  • Enforce compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations and company safety policies.
  • Investigate and report workplace incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Identify potential hazards and take proactive steps to maintain a safe working environment.
