Requirements

Experience in a 3PL, distribution, fulfillment, or high-volume warehouse environment.
Strong knowledge of receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
Experience supervising warehouse associates, assigning work, monitoring productivity, and providing coaching.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems, barcode scanners, RF devices, and basic Microsoft Excel.
Ability to investigate inventory discrepancies, mis-picks, packing errors, damages, and shipping issues.
Understanding of warehouse safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and incident reporting.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, overtime, or multiple shifts when required.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift the weight required for the position.

Responsibilities

Serves as a leader and provides guidance for all warehouse labor duties.
Responsible for directing daily activities of the warehouse including labor, scheduling, and supervision of day-to-day operations.
Oversees and provides training to warehouse associates following Metropolitan’s set standards and quality guidelines for loading, unloading, packaging and scan discipline.
Oversees inventory levels, monitors the safety of goods, and ensures the efficient usage of warehouse space.
Assigns tasks and aids Warehouse Manager with all shipping and receiving responsibilities.
Assists and provides guidance for different warehouse duties as needed.
Manage multiple customer accounts and changing priorities.
Follow customer-specific SOPs and shipping requirements.
Monitor service-level agreements, order deadlines, and accuracy expectations.
Communicate professionally with customers, carriers, drivers, and internal departments.
Track productivity, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, damages, and on-time shipping.
Handle urgent orders, staffing shortages, and operational problems.
Ensure shipping and receiving accuracy.
Monitor product-damage rates.
Ensure on-time order staging.
Oversee loading and unloading productivity.
Manage employee attendance and performance.
