About The Position

A Warehouse Supervisor for JSM will be responsible for facilitating optimum production output and quality by enabling a qualified workforce and fostering company policies and procedures. An individual in this role will be accountable for the overall results of the warehouse.

  • Expertise in Direct Mail operations.
  • Technical Ability
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance and regulations.
  • One or more years of experience in a print or mail industry preferred but not required.
  • Advanced education
  • Experience in training, quality control, lean manufacturing, safety, is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supervising, training, and hiring of employees to work in the Warehouse department.
  • Ensure effective employee relations.
  • Provide employee coaching and development.
  • Makes employment recommendations.
  • Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
  • Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
  • Work to continuously improve in all areas.
  • Control all warehouse equipment including purchasing, maintenance, PM, charging and all other equipment issues.
  • Responsible for Inventory Management including counts and quantity, inspection of materials, and ensuring accuracy of material and supplies.
  • Achieve departmental performance standards and measures – and provide regular progress reports to manager.
  • Provide for a safe working environment.
  • Perform accident response and support safety committee initiatives.
  • Communicate upward, downward, across shifts and departments.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance program for all equipment and proper inventory levels.
  • Manage department priorities.
  • Track training, absenteeism, and timekeeping.
  • Promote company values and culture.
  • Enforce company policies and rules.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.
