About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for frontline execution of warehouse operations and direct supervision of hourly team members. This role ensures that shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material movement activities are performed safely, accurately, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • 2–4 years of warehouse or distribution experience, preferably in food manufacturing or a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control practices
  • Forklift operation (required)
  • Pallet jack operation (required)
  • Experience using WMS and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred.)
  • Strong ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Basic understanding of labor planning, scheduling, and team coordination.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to spend the majority of the workday in warehouse and manufacturing environments, including standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to navigate docks, trailers, forklifts, and uneven surfaces safely.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and other protective equipment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including temperature extremes, noise, and warehouse traffic.
  • Ability and certification to operate and oversee operation of material-handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) as required.
  • Clean, valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or extended shifts as operational needs require.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of experience in a lead or supervisory capacity preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, staging, picking, storage, and internal material movement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely shipping and receiving, including documentation, labeling, and system transactions.
  • Operate and oversee operation of material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, variance identification, and basic root-cause follow-up.
  • Utilize WMS and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) to complete transactions accurately and in real time.
  • Support production by ensuring materials is staged and available based on production needs.
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, adjusting to changing priorities and operational demands.
  • Directly supervise warehouse associates, providing clear direction, delegation, and daily oversight.
  • Train new and existing employees on processes, equipment, safety practices, and performance expectations.
  • Support scheduling and daily labor deployment to meet operational needs.
  • Reinforce attendance, punctuality, and performance expectations consistently and fairly.
  • Build team morale, accountability, and engagement through consistent communication and leadership presence.
  • Provide real-time coaching and feedback; escalate performance issues as appropriate.
  • Monitor workflow, productivity, and time utilization to ensure efficient operations.
  • Apply time and motion awareness to improve throughput and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve operational flow.
  • Support cost control efforts by minimizing damage, shrink, and operational inefficiencies.
  • Enforce workplace safety standards, PPE requirements, and safe equipment operation at all times.
  • Identify hazards and take immediate action to correct unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements in partnership with FSQA.
  • Reinforce proper equipment safety protocols, including forklift and pallet jack operation.
  • Support a culture of safety by leading by example and addressing issues immediately.
  • Communicate daily priorities, issues, and performance expectations to the team.
  • Partner with Warehouse Manager and cross-functional teams (Production, Transportation, FSQA) to support operations.
  • Escalate operational issues, inventory discrepancies, and safety concerns in a timely manner.
  • Participate in shift start-up meetings and provide updates on performance and challenges.
  • Other related tasks, as necessary to drive results and support the business.
