About The Position

Gerdau is seeking a Warehouse Stock Keeper (Forklift) for their Bradley Steel Processors - Winnipeg, MB facility. This role involves performing a variety of material moving and stocking duties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position reports to the location's Supervisor and requires operating forklift equipment, moving materials, and assisting with scrap handling. Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12 diploma (or GED)
• Minimum 1-2 years of working experience as a forklift driver and have a valid forklift license
• Ability to read, write and follow schedules
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Physically capable of performing the role
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Provide us with a criminal background check
• Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with extremely hot materials while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift equipment
• Move bundles from and to different areas for production
• Move end plates, supplies and other items for operations as needed
• Dump slugs, offcut bins, etc. in outside scrap bins as needed
• Follow production plan and keep up with production pace
• Assist in scrap handling and recording as needed
• May perform other duties as supervisor deems necessary
