About The Position

Ace Hardware is hiring Warehouse Specialists for its West Jefferson distribution center as gig workers. This is flexible, on-demand work: workers choose when and how often to take shifts, rather than committing to a traditional full-time schedule. The role supports product fulfillment for Ace Retailers by warehousing merchandise and fulfilling orders across receiving, stocking, order filling, and shipping. Warehouse Specialists receive extensive safety and efficiency training and work within a safety-focused, values-driven culture. Compensation is $20.50–$23.00 per hour in base pay, including shift differentials and premiums. Performance incentives may add $3.60–$9.01 or more per hour based on performance. The position offers benefits and programs subject to applicable plans and policies.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods.
Must be able to stoop, squat, and kneel regularly, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Weekend and holiday availability may be required.
Must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and a self-starter.
Must contribute actively to the company's safety-centric culture.

Nice To Haves

Warehousing, distribution, farming, light industrial/manufacturing, or construction experience.
Familiarity with operating warehousing power equipment.
Comfort using voice-directed systems.

Responsibilities

Unload freight using a forklift and/or other power equipment, and process products with an RF Scanner onto the dock for stocking.
Use an RF Scanner to replenish bins and maintain inventory freight in preparation for order picking, working on foot or using a reach lift.
Use a Voice Collect headset to select and stage merchandise for transport and fulfill orders efficiently, on foot or by forklift.
Operate a forklift or other power equipment to load products onto outgoing trailers.
Contribute to a safety-focused culture and take responsibility for the safety of fellow team members.
