About The Position

PCSI is looking for a Warehouse Specialist at Edwards AFB. A Warehouse Specialist performs warehouse and supply duties in accordance with Air Force/DOD storage requirements, contract requirements, and established procedures. This position will report to the project manager and is based at Edwards AFB. Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Business/Logistics or a related field required, or the equivalent combination of formal training and related work experience.
  • Proficiency with word-processing and integrated software applications.
  • Knowledge of warehouse, supply, inventory control, and material handling procedures.
  • Ability to follow Air Force/DOD storage requirements, contract requirements, and established work instructions.
  • Ability to receive, inspect, document, store, issue, and route materials accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Ability to use inventory systems, bar code equipment, data entry tools, and other warehouse-related software and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing records, reports, materials, and inventory data.
  • Ability to assist and communicate with others as needed and establish effective working relationships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with CORs regarding Materiel Management functions of the PWS.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry at least 40 pounds.
  • Ability to pass criminal, financial, drug, and driving screening.
  • Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
  • Ability to be insured as an authorized driver for the Company.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
  • Must qualify for and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse and supply duties in accordance with Air Force/DOD storage requirements, contract requirements, and established procedures.
  • Receive, verify, document, store, issue, and route materials and property, ensuring quantities, item information, and supporting documentation are accurate.
  • Inspect received and stored materials for discrepancies, damage, deterioration, or other concerns, and report issues in accordance with required procedures.
  • Store, stack, palletize, rearrange, inventory, and prepare materials for issue, shipment, delivery, or transportation using prescribed storage methods.
  • Process property turn-ins, validate property condition, and route items not authorized for storage to the appropriate work center or shop.
  • Review, validate, and monitor reports, listings, and system data to support accurate inventory control and warehouse compliance.
  • Perform clerical and administrative support duties related to warehouse operations, including maintaining records, preparing and verifying documents, compiling information, responding to routine requests, filing, typing, and data entry.
  • Support shipping, receiving, inventory, and material handling activities, including loading, unloading, packing, unpacking, labeling, transporting, picking, and placing materials.
  • Operate and use approved material handling equipment and related devices, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, carts, scanners, printers, bar code equipment, and other warehouse equipment as required.
  • Prepare, assemble, disassemble, and refurbish storage aids, devices, and related warehouse materials as needed.
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas and prepare routine reports as needed.
  • Provide training to customers and coworkers as needed, including proficiency training and trainee progress evaluation.
  • Perform routine duties independently and seek guidance from supervisors, leads, or other officials for non-routine tasks.
