About The Position

PCSI is seeking a Computer Operator Senior to join their team at Edwards AFB. This role involves coordinating software release loads and system updates. Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Business/Logistics or a related field required, or the equivalent combination of formal training and related work experience.
  • Security+ Certification required; must maintain compliance with DoD 8570.01-M requirements.
  • Proficiency with word processing and integrated software applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot output instructions, error conditions, and system issues using sound judgment and established procedures.
  • Ability to identify practical alternatives when standard procedures do not resolve equipment, system, or operating issues.
  • Knowledge of current Information Assurance practices and procedures.
  • Ability to coordinate repairs, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate system issues to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide day-to-day lead support for computer operator, material coordination, and warehouse-related activities.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry at least 40 pounds.
  • Ability to pass criminal, financial, drug, and driving screening.
  • Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
  • Ability to be insured as an authorized driver for the Company.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
  • Must qualify for and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Experience leading or coordinating material coordinator/computer operator functions and related warehousing activities preferred.
  • Knowledge of AF ITS databases, the ILS-S operating environment, ASNUD, and related supply systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate software release loads and related system updates.
  • Maintain the Automated Stock Number User Directory (ASNUD).
  • Provide first-level review of computer and peripheral equipment issues, including initial assessment and repair coordination.
  • Perform system administrator duties to support AF ITS database operations within the ILS-S environment.
  • Respond to nonstandard operating issues, system errors, and output instructions requiring sound judgment and operator intervention.
  • Determine appropriate actions from available alternatives and modify standard procedures when needed to resolve equipment, system, or operating issues.
  • Research supply system issues and submit findings to the Supply Systems Manager for review or action.
  • May serve as primary scheduler under the oversight of the Supply Systems Manager and maintain related documentation.
  • Support compliance with current Information Assurance practices and procedures and assist Government counterparts with IA-related issues as requested.
  • Provide lead support for material coordinator/computer operators and related warehousing activities, including Flight Services Center, Receiving, Pickup and Delivery, Hazmat, and Storage and Issue.
  • Complete assigned work independently and submit work to users without supervisory review when appropriate.
