This role involves performing a full range of duties in the receipt, stow, and issue of material. The specialist will ensure items meet specific requirements, be proficient in anti-static devices, and provide COSIS/Shelf-Life inspection as per contract agreements. Responsibilities include performing kitting functions, providing cost estimates for kits, and assigning daily work to other storage personnel. The position requires adherence to DLA regulations for material examination, acceptance, rejection, and disposal. It also involves conducting inventory/causative research, reading supply manuals, specifications, drawings, and prints. The role includes loading and unloading material, conducting Shelf-Life and COSIS actions, preparing labels and reports, operating tools and equipment, and inputting/receiving data from automated supply systems like DSS. Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operation with appropriate licensing is also required, along with counting, weighing, recording data, and applying tags/labels. Basic preventive maintenance on related equipment is expected, along with performing all other assigned duties.
