Warehouse Leads will work with the supervisor to help ensure all inbound and outbound loads are processed correctly. They will learn to use all the powered industrial equipment on site. Leads will support the management team by understanding the full operations of the warehouse, as well as supporting training and development of production employees. These positions can be physically demanding and require attention to detail.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree required.
  • One year of related experience is required.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems is required.
  • Candidates must have strong computer skills
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous lead or supervisory experience is highly desired.
  • Experience in a role managing multiple priorities is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Assist shift supervisors in pre-shift meetings and paperwork necessary during the shift
  • Train employees in a safe and efficient manner on material handling equipment
  • Plan and execute timely inbound and outbound deliveries, prioritizing resources
  • Responsible for escalating any issues that arise during the shift, if necessary
  • Ensure that employees are working safely, following all work rules, and that all required PPE are being worn at all times
  • Act as Wave Planner when necessary; these duties include (but are not limited to) allocating orders, releasing work to the warehouse floor, and ensuring truck turn times are within acceptable levels
  • Ensure that proper people are in the appropriate areas on the correct equipment to evenly complete work in queue
  • Required to operate Powered Industrial Equipment needed for the position
  • Run outbounds making sure loads are done by appt and DDT
  • Run Inbounds making sure inbounds come in good condition from other sites and correct qty
  • Foodlogiq entering any issue the come on inbounds from other sites
  • Run Exports / label and get loads ready for USDA
  • Run the VAS line
  • Other duties as assigned.
