About The Position

This position will be responsible for shipping, issuing, inventorying, ordering and storing supplies, merchandise, and equipment for Piedmont Geriatric Hospital and Virginia Center for Behavioral Rehabilitation. “Nottoway Campus”.

Requirements

Must have valid drivers license
Knowledge of Warehouse shipping and receiving procedures
Ability to operate various material handling equipment
Basic Computer Skills
Ability to perform basic math calculations
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge or experience in inventory control or a warehouse environment, including counting of supplies and making adjustments preferred
Working knowledge of state surplus property processing preferred
Knowledge of fixed asset tagging and tracking preferred

Responsibilities

Ability to work with numbers and perform mathematical calculations
Ability to work well with others in all levels of staff, including management and co-workers
Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for prolong periods, walk, bend, carry objects and work in extreme temperatures
Ability to manage inventory using computerized software
Ability to operate hand cars and mechanical material handling equipment
Ability to work safely in a warehouse and with power tools and automated material handling equipment
Ability to communicate both verbally and written
