About The Position

Island Palm Communities is seeking a Warehouse Specialist II to join their team. This role is responsible for purchasing equipment, materials, supplies, and tools using an electronic purchasing system, generating purchase orders, and placing orders directly with vendors and suppliers. The specialist will utilize a system reorder function to order necessary quantities of products and manage inventory using the Yardi management system. A significant portion of the role involves maintaining the warehouse by stocking, receiving, and issuing equipment, materials, supplies, and tools efficiently, both physically and electronically. The position also requires ensuring a safe, clean, and tidy warehouse environment, complying with safety and environmental policies, maintaining tool and equipment logs, supporting regular inventories, and managing refuse and recycling collections.

Requirements

  • Experience using an electronic purchasing system.
  • Experience utilizing a system reorder function.
  • Experience using Yardi management system.
  • Ability to manage, issue, and order inventory and equipment.
  • Ability to maintain warehouse stocking and inventory levels.
  • Knowledge of company policies for purchasing, receiving, and stocking materials.
  • Ability to issue equipment, materials, supplies, and tools physically and electronically.
  • Ability to stock and receive materials, supplies, and tools efficiently.
  • Ability to ensure safe, clean, and tidy warehouse and maintenance facilities.
  • Knowledge of proper safety and environmental policies for storage, recording, and reporting.
  • Ability to maintain tool and equipment logs.
  • Ability to support regular warehouse and vehicle inventories.
  • Ability to maintain refuse and recycling collections.

Responsibilities

  • Purchasing equipment, materials, supplies, and tools using an electronic purchasing system to generate purchase orders and place orders directly with vendors and suppliers.
  • Utilizing the system reorder function to properly order quantities of products needed.
  • Utilizing the Yardi management system to manage, issue, and order all inventory and equipment as per guidelines.
  • Ensuring that warehouse(s) are properly stocked and inventory levels are maintained in accordance with current maintenance activities of the project.
  • Ensuring that company policies are followed for purchasing, receiving, and stocking materials.
  • Supporting providing supplies to technicians and employees or maintenance activities by issuing equipment materials, supplies, and tools physically and electronically.
  • Maintaining the warehouse by stocking, receiving, materials, supplies, and tools efficiently both physically and electronically.
  • Ensuring safe, clean, and tidy warehouse and maintenance facilities and complying with proper safety and environmental policies for storage and recording and reporting requirements (including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all materials).
  • Maintaining tool and equipment logs for all Project owned tools and ensuring all are maintained in working order.
  • Informing the Maintenance Manager or Director of Facilities of tool and equipment requirements.
  • Supporting regular warehouse and vehicle inventories in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining refuse and recycling collections for maintenance operations.
