About The Position

As a Warehouse Solutions Analyst within our Analytics & Design Services (ADS) team, you will develop supply chain, warehouse and automation solutions for Linfox business units and their customers. Taking a data set and item data, you will quickly translate complex requirements into fit-for-purpose distribution centre designs that optimise handling efficiency, future-proof operations and deliver commercial value. Reporting to the Warehouse Solutions & Automation Manager, you will map stock flows, model options, produce CAD layouts and evaluate automation technologies – presenting clear, commercially sound recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. This role can be based out of our offices in Brisbane (QLD) or Essendon Fields (VIC).

  • Extremely proficient Excel skills, with the ability to rapidly turn a data set and item data into a workable DC solution.
  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD desirable) for warehouse layout drawing and swept path analysis.
  • A blend of operational, commercial and technical capability across multiple warehouse disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce tender / RFQ-grade documents and present insights in a clear, usable format.
  • Clear and confident verbal communicator who can articulate solutions simply.
  • Strong commercial and operational acumen.
  • Advanced reporting, analysis and presentation skills.
  • Diplomatic and tactful, able to work under pressure to deadlines.

  • Produce warehouse layout drawings using CAD tools and conduct swept path analysis to validate aisle widths, dock layouts and material handling equipment movements.
  • Map stock movement flows through proposed designs – receiving, storage, pick face and despatch sequencing – to validate operational viability.
  • Evaluate automation technologies (AMR, ASRS, conveyor, sortation) for fit-for-purpose application, including vendor comparison, ROI modelling and integration with warehouse design.
  • Deliver timely project updates, solution summaries and presentations, and complete commercial reviews with benefit realisation, all within the legislative safety-in-design framework.
