About The Position

NFM’s Shop Assistant is responsible for supporting team members in our repair shop and inventory control department. If you’re a team player and are looking to kick-start your career at NFM, this is a great place to start.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
6 months’ warehouse or labor experience
Positive, upbeat attitude
Ability to lift/push/pull required weights
Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs
Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

Inspect Repaired Furniture for quality control, Wrap product and load on flats
Repair: remove back panels and install mirrors
Assist: Work with the inventory team to pick merchandise for delivery, cycle products in the repair shop and order supplies/product parts as needed
Maintain: Organize lumber rack and keep the repair shop up to NFM housekeeping standards
Safety: Keep all hazardous chemicals properly labeled and stored according to government standards
