Requirements

  • Prior experience working in a shop environment.
  • Comfortable driving a forklift.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Able to successfully pass a Department of Transportation Driver Medical exam.
  • Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle and manipulate objects.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Computer knowledge.
  • Great multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently on delegated tasks under the direction of the Shop Manager.
  • Make deliveries to job sites throughout the Des Moines regional area.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Receive and ship materials.
  • Maintain orderly storage of materials and inventory levels.
  • Perform fabrication on pipe for the field.
  • Communicate regularly with field and office employees on projects.
  • Responsible for the coordination of workflow, delegation, and task completions during the Shop Manager's absence.
