Requirements

Prior experience working in a shop environment.
Comfortable driving a forklift.
Mechanically inclined.
Valid driver's license.
Clean driving record.
Able to successfully pass a Department of Transportation Driver Medical exam.
Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle and manipulate objects.
Reach with hands and arms.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Computer knowledge.
Great multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

Work independently on delegated tasks under the direction of the Shop Manager.
Make deliveries to job sites throughout the Des Moines regional area.
Perform basic preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and machinery.
Receive and ship materials.
Maintain orderly storage of materials and inventory levels.
Perform fabrication on pipe for the field.
Communicate regularly with field and office employees on projects.
Responsible for the coordination of workflow, delegation, and task completions during the Shop Manager's absence.
