About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Sanitation Associate in Miami, Florida. The role supports warehouse sanitation and helps maintain a safe, clean, organized, and tour-ready facility. Products handled are retail items, and an RF scanner is listed as equipment used. The position pays $17.50 per hour, with weekly pay, and is scheduled Wednesday through Saturday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The role includes cleaning warehouse, office, restroom, break room, locker room, and exterior areas according to a sanitation schedule. It also includes light maintenance activities and assisting maintenance technicians as required. Overtime may be needed. Ryder offers paid training, safety gear, benefits, and employee discounts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Depending on location, may be required to be equipment certified.
• Ability to recognize and read location, date, and product codes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships across all levels of the organization, including peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Flexibility and self-motivation to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments.
• Detail-oriented, with excellent follow-up practices.
• Some positions may require additional screening, which may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check and road test, and/or customer badging or background requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms, break room, locker room, and office areas according to the sanitation schedule.
• Clean exterior building areas, including windows and walkways, and empty trash containers and receptacles according to the sanitation schedule.
• Sweep and scrub warehouse floors and office areas according to the sanitation schedule.
• Wipe down racks, guard rails, and walls in warehouse and office areas according to the sanitation schedule.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and tour-ready facility.
• Assist maintenance technicians as required and perform light maintenance activities such as painting.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and work overtime as needed.
