Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of experience in a warehouse.
  • Any combination of education, training and experience that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with shipping and receiving is preferred.
  • Forklift certification a plus or willing to be trained.

Responsibilities

  • Shipping and receiving of all products and supplies for the Blood Center.
  • Delivery of all inventory orders and supplies to designated laboratories and work areas.
  • Maintaining adequate and accurate inventory levels.
  • Monthly inventory counts.
  • Unloading and maintaining shipment integrity through obtaining proper documentation.
  • Obtaining signed packing slips from business units.
  • Ordering shipping supplies as directed.
  • Logging purchase orders and entering shipping and receiving information into computerized shipments.
  • Maintaining inventory records of all supplies/products in the receiving area.
  • Providing positive customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Examining shipping containers for damage prior to accepting them for delivery.
  • Managing all damaged products according to established procedures.
  • Assuring products received are correct in description and quantity by comparing the packing slip against the purchase order.
  • Distributing products to departments and performing all record keeping functions associated with product distribution.
  • Performing inventory Cycle counts.
  • Assuring that items are received properly and added into the inventory system accurately.
  • Ensuring the receiving area is clean and organized.
  • Any related duties as assigned.
