About The Position

The Supply Chain Associate supports purchasing and supply management activities by converting purchase requisitions into purchase orders, coordinating the RFQ process, and maintaining accurate data in the ERP system. This role helps ensure competitive pricing, reliable supplier performance, and timely delivery of purchased parts, while also resolving receiving issues and supporting other supply chain tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience with supply chain processes such as purchasing, RFQ management, and supplier coordination.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems for creating, updating, and maintaining purchase orders and master data.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including the ability to use Excel for tracking and analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a supply chain program or closely related field.
  • Internship experience in supply chain, purchasing, or a related discipline.
  • Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate purchase order and master data.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding order status and issues.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple purchase orders, RFQs, and supplier follow-ups simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset to compare bids and support cost-effective purchasing decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Convert purchase requisitions into accurate and timely purchase orders.
  • Support purchase order placement for fastener and outsourced processing orders.
  • Manage the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process to obtain competitive bids from suppliers.
  • Evaluate RFQ responses to help ensure the organization achieves the best price for goods and services.
  • Provide up-to-date status on purchase orders, including expected delivery dates and any changes.
  • Maintain and update purchase order data within the ERP system to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor and help maintain supplier on-time delivery performance for purchased parts.
  • Maintain and update master data inputs related to suppliers, items, and purchasing within the ERP system.
  • Identify and resolve receiving holds on purchased items in coordination with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Perform other duties related to the supply chain function as requested and relevant to the role.
