3rd Shift Warehouse/Receiving Associate
About The Position
Furniture Fair is growing and adding to our Warehouse Receiving Team! This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with an hourly pay of $18 and a full benefit package. The role involves safely using a dolly to unload delivery trucks, preparing outgoing merchandise for delivery, and inspecting items for damage. Responsibilities also include pulling, wrapping, assembling, and loading furniture for customer pick-ups, receiving shipments as needed, operating trash compactors and recycling machines, and performing general cleanup of the warehouse, restrooms, and other areas.
Requirements
- High school education or GED
- Ability to safely lift 50 pounds while loading/unloading furniture carts, and other devices
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., 200 lbs. with the aid of a dolly or the assistance of another person without sustaining personal injury or damaging the merchandise
- Ability to read tags, instructions, and documents
Responsibilities
- Safely use a dolly to unload delivery trucks
- Prep the out-going merchandise for delivery and properly inspect for damage and ensure items are completely ready to be loaded on a delivery truck
- Pulling, wrapping, assembling, and loading out furniture for customer pick-ups
- Receiving shipments as needed and requested
- Operate the trash compactor and recycling machines as requested
- General cleanup, including warehouse, restrooms, and other areas of the warehouse
